This event is provided as part of the general admission to the BC Forest Discovery Centre on Saturday and Sunday 18 to 19th of July at no extra charge. The production is suitable for families and is a series of short historically grounded plays drawn from real people, places and events that shaped southern Vancouver Island. The 2026 production includes the story of Major McFarlane and his campaign to build the Malahat Highway. Minnie Paterson, the heroine of Cape Beale Lighthouse whose courage saved shipwreched sailors and Painless Parker's Dashing Dental Circus, a quack dentist who provided a roaming dental service across North America playing band music to drown out the screams.
