About
A series of short historically grounded plays drawn from real people, places and events that shaped southern Vancouver Island. The 2026 production includes the story of Major McFarlane and his campaign to build the Malahat Highway. Minnie Paterson, the heroine of Cape Beale Lighthouse whose courage saved shipwreched sailors and Painless Parker's Dashing Dental Circus, a comedic reflection on the life of Edgar Randolf Parker a controverstial figure quoted as a quack and an innovator, who pulled the teeth of thousands on the back of truck using cocaine and a band to drown out the screams!
